First of all, before I get into anything too technical about your blog, I have to say that I am blown away by how professional your blog looks. All of ours have come out pretty well, but your group has seriously done an incredible job. One thing that you have really embraced is the idea of getting people involved, with polls and the iPod player with music from the soundtrack. The picture at the top of your blog is beautifully made, and the fact that you included the address of the Borders store was really smart thinking on your part.
In addition, by using new media like YouTube videos of Twilight’s Los Angeles premiere, you were able to create a buzz for your event and really get people excited. Having the information and schedule of events for the release party was also really good thinking on your part, and it was important for you to display the logos of your sponsors right on the blog. In addition, I like the fact that you were constantly updating the information and you were never content to just leave the blog as it was. More specifically, the fact that several days ago you put up an advertisement for people to go on the CUB bus trip, telling people that all tickets nationwide were sold out except for the ones CUB still had, was a fantastic idea.
You’ve also been very open to suggestions by asking for comments on the blog, and I think people really appreciate the fact that you’ve been receptive to feedback. Overall, great job, excellent use of Web 2.0, particularly with the YouTube videos, the iPod, and the RSS feeds. Well done!

This blog looks very professional! My favorite part is the IPod on the side! All of the other interactive aspects also add a lot to the blog and are perfect for the type of event it is and the people who will be visiting the blog. The countdown is another fun aspect. I like that you added all possible information as it happened, including information about CUB, borders, and the movie. Great use of videos as well. Overall, you guys did an awesome job on the blog!

I think you guys did a really great job with the blog. I feel like you gladly took the purpose of using the blog a step further. Now that the event has passed you have continued to update the blog. And what I found impressive was that it was not with just specific posts related to only your event. You really reached out to your audience by posting a variety of related news that fans of the book and movie would be interested in, including box office results, the go ahead for filming of the next book, and news clips about the midnight showing. I feel that you effectively used elements to draw in a great interest from you fan base.

All the gadgets and the images really catch the attention of the user, and would easily generate excitement in a fan. The header at the top of the page gives it a very professional look and has all the pertinent information about the event right at a glance. You guys also did a great job making it interactive for the users, not only with the comments and such, but the voting polls and the iPod with the movie soundtrack. Overall, I think you guys did a really great job using your blog as a tool to generate buzz and draw in your target fan base.
